This year’s Digital Marketing Strategies Conference hosted by First Class Educators has been called one of their best conferences yet. The annual event was held in Napa Valley, CA from March 16-18, 2014. The hotel, Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa, was more than accommodating and beautiful that we just had to book the same hotel for our 2015 conference! Brian Pasch, CEO of PCG Consulting delivered the opening Keynote Address that was followed by 2 days of conferences and activities. Conference speakers included JD Rucker, Darren Haygood, Gary May, Mark McGurren, Dave Page, Michelle Morris, Erika Simms and others.
We want to highlight our keynote speakers from Facebook, Twitter and Conductor. Michelle Morris is the US Industry Lead for Auto at Facebook. She works with leading auto manufacturers and agencies, helping them use Facebook to build brands and increase car and truck sales. In Michelle’s session “Personalized Marketing at Scale”, she taught attendees how to advertise cars on Facebook to by giving the most successful strategies. Seth Besmertnik is the CEO of Conductor. He directs corporate strategy, guides product vision and develops strategic partnerships for Conductor. In his session “ The Digital Blindspot: How Managing Your Web Presence Can Pump In Sales & Capture More Customers”, attendees learned about the Conductor tool and the value it gives to dealers. Seth was able to share his insights on how technology can be used to create a better sales strategy. His software company is part of the winning solution for a better sales strategy. Todd Levy is the Head of Automotive Sales at Twitter. In Todd’s session “The Value of Twitter, he taught attendees how to use Twitter in the automotive industry to the most beneficial way. Attendees learned how the option to have images in the news feed, can be leveraged by car dealers and the larger auto industry.We were blown away by all of our keynote speakers and can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year!
The digital marketing conference is designed to assist dealers with creating a market dominating digital marketing strategy for the year ahead. Held in the heart of the beautiful wine country, Napa Valley, California, attendees enjoyed top level speakers, a well organized event and plenty of Napa Valley fun including private wine tours, a VIP dinner and a golf tournament.
Our VIP dinner took place at the exceptional Bottega located in Yountville, CA. Bottega is owned by chef Michael Chiarello who also appeared on the Food Newtwork’s Emmy Award sinning shows “Easy Entertaining.” He also made guest appearances on other Food Network popular shows such as The Next Iron Chef and Bravo’s Top Chef. The food was out of this world! The Mediterranean cooking was fused with southern Italian style. Attendees enjoyed Bottega’s signature dishes including:
- Pesce al Stagione with braised artichoke ragu, grilled escarole and gremolata
- Truffled Chicken Breast, olive oil braised potatoes, arugala, sherry vinegar pan jus
- Burrata al Carciofo- creamy mozzarella burrata with artichokes two ways, ole oil-lemon braised
Of course no dinner is complete without wine! Attendees experienced delicious red and white wines sponsored by Dealer eProcess and First Class Educators.
Attendees also had the option to go on fabulous wine tours while attending DMSC in Napa Valley. These wineries included Hall Winery and White Hall Lane. In addition to the wine tours, guests also experienced wine tastings with the experts! Jason Moore of Modus Operandi Wine attended the welcome cocktail and wine reception. With him, he had tastings of his best wine in variety of red, white and rose. The style of Modus Operandi Wine is big, ripe and Californian according to Jason. Amy Aiken from Meander Cellars joined us at another cocktail and wine reception. Amy also brought a tasting from her vineyard which she describes as a blend of fruit from two historical family- owned vineyards. Meander Wine Cellars is best known for their Cabernet Sauvignon.
On top of the wining and dining, attendees learned current digital marketing strategies and what processes they need to implement back at the dealership. With every workshop focused around the theme of “Strategy and Process,” all attendees were guaranteed to leave with a clear vision of their top priorities and action items. It is an intimate event that is limited to 100 dealership employees. This allows the instructors and speakers to work hands-on with dealers in attendance. The feedback from the attendees really speaks to the level of the conference.
