ECommerce Manager of Jim Pattison Auto Group Awarded AutoCon 2012 Scholarship Sponsored by TrueCar®

Automotive Media Partners LLC and First Class Educators are pleased to announce the sixth recipient of the TrueCar® Scholarship program. The program grants a full scholarship for automotive professionals to attend AutoCon 2012, September 5-8th at the Aria Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

AutoCon2012Kevin Gordon, ECommerce Manager for Jim Pattison Auto Group, is the sixth recipient out of twelve to receive the scholarship that will send him to AutoCon 2012.  Matt Tucker, E-Commerce Director of Bommarito Automotive Group, Katia King, BDC Director for Pat O’Brien Chevrolet, Sean Rancier, Internet & IT Director for Bill Rapp Superstore, Ashley Lopez, Internet Marketing Coordinator of Access Ford Ltd., and Jillian Lopez, Director of Operational Marketing at Bolton Ford, are also scholarship recipients.  Six more scholarships are yet to be awarded.

“This ‘Scholarship’ has captivated my interest and I think I would be an excellent individual to award a ‘Full Ride’ to.  I am the eCommerce Manager of the Jim Pattison Auto Group, the largest automotive retailer in British Columbia, Canada. Our group is currently undertaking some major changes, transitioning to a more modern structure, investing in digital marketing rather than traditional. As our department has recently expanded, our budget is maxed out for conferences/additional training has decreased, meaning the ‘Full Ride’ program is my only shot at attending AutoCon.

I have attended several automotive-oriented conferences in the past and have taken great value from them, learning new strategies from our neighbors south of the border, while sharing some unique processes we have implemented here. I would certainly lump myself into the ‘keener’ bracket, and would attend every session, workshop, sponsored lab, etc. that I could, as I generally find that I am able to find some value in all aspects of a conference.”

AutoCon to Welcome 12 Scholarship Recipients Sponsored by TrueCar
